MOROCCO SPORTS MINISTRY PARTNERS AIRLINE TO BOOST FANS’ AFCON 2019 ATTENDANCE
While Nigerian fans are still at sea on how to get to Egypt to support the Super Eagles, the Moroccan Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), and Royal Air Maroc (RAM) have reportedly on Friday signed a partnership agreement to get many Moroccans to attend the continental premier sports tournament in Egypt.
According to Morocco World News, the partnership agreement was signed in Rabat on Friday.
The report has it that the three organizations plan to launch a flight program between Casablanca and Cairo for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Royal Air Maroc will schedule more than 82 flights during the first round of the tournament (June 23 – July 1) to allow more than 7,500 fans to follow the national team to Egypt.
The airline offers round-trip tickets at a fixed price of MAD 3,000 ($309.052 or N110, 716) to attend one match, and MAD 4,000 (412.070 or N147,622) for fans attending multiple matches.

It also chartered 18 exceptional flights in November 2017, connecting Casablanca to Abidjan to allow 3000 supporters to attend the decisive match between the Atlas Lions and Côte d’Ivoire as part of the qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup.

Guirassy first-half hat-trick powers Guinea past Ethiopia
Striker Serhou Guirassy scored a hat-trick in the first half to help Guinea secure a commanding 4-1 victory over Ethiopia in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday.
The match, played at the Stade Olympique Alassane Ouattara in Abidjan, saw Syli National dominate from the start, with Guirassy’s hat-trick leading the way.
The Guineans took the lead in the 18th minute when Guirassy converted a penalty after Birhanu Bekele’s foul inside the box.
The Germany-based attacker doubled his tally in the 37th minute, finishing from close range after a well-timed pass from Seydouba Cissé.
Just before half-time, Guirassy completed his hat-trick, slotting home in stoppage time from a François Kamano assist to make it 3-0 at the break.
Guinea continued their dominance in the second half, with Cissé adding a fourth goal in the 48th minute, finishing a through ball from Mady Camara.
Ethiopia pulled one back in the 53rd minute through Kenean Markneh, who capitalized on a rebound to score from close range, but it proved little more than a consolation.
