Our Home Ground Now Camp Nou, Says Amoo
BY BOLAJI OKUNOLA
Ahead of the second stanza of the Nigerian league, Fatai Amoo, former international and coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club is already beaming with confidence.
Even though his club is barely some slots away from the danger zone of relegation, Amoo’s spirit is lifted by the signing three former players to strengthen Shooting Stars for the second stanza of the league.
The head coach has vowed not to lose or draw any home game in the ongoing season.
Amoo, who took charge of the club between 2009 and 2011, is currently facing various acidic tests despite welcoming the offer for the third time.
The former Nigeria Olympic team assistant coach who just received his CAF A Licence coaching course certificate told www.sportsvillagesquare.com that: “I am ready to work with my coaching crew and the newly signed players.
“I am not happy about where we are on the NPFL table. I mean its disastrous staying in the milieu of relegation teams.
“We only won five matches in our last 19 games which as shown how poor we are in terms of preparation.
“The second half of the season is about to start and I bet you, 3SC fans will see beautiful football. I see us not losing any game at home.
“Am planning of laying down a strategy which will see opponents being scared of coming down to Ibadan to play us just like FC Barcelona have made Camp Nou a fortress.
“I know some haters of the team might think it’s impossible, but I am very sure we will never lose a point at home in our remaining 19 matches.” he boasted
Among notable players the club signed during the transfer window are former Sunshine Star, Ajani Ibrahim, Tayo Adebogun and Nonso Ogbonna.
