The Moroccan giants, who suffered heartbreak in last year’s final on home soil against TP Mazembe, produced a composed and disciplined performance to reclaim the continental crown and join South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns as the joint-most successful club in the competition’s young history, with two titles each.

ASFAR flew out of the blocks, taking the lead in the 13th minute through Ait El Haj’s precise finish. But debutants ASEC Mimosas—making their first appearance in the tournament and its final—showed no signs of stage fright.

The Ivorians grew stronger in the second half and deservedly levelled the score, signalling a promising future for women’s football in Côte d’Ivoire.

The decisive moment came late in the game. A rash challenge by Diara inside the box gifted ASFAR a penalty, and defender Zineb Redouani kept her composure to fire home a low effort. The goal not only sealed the title but also earned Redouani the Woman of the Match award.

The closing stages were tense as ASEC pressed for an equaliser, but ASFAR switched to a defensive block—finishing with five defenders and two holding midfielders—to protect their slender advantage.

With the victory, ASFAR also secured a spot in the play-offs for the 2026 FIFA Women’s Club World Cup, underlining Morocco’s growing stature and continued investment in the women’s game.
