Merciless Barça batter Real Madrid in seven-goal thriller

FC Barcelona won their 15th Spanish Super Cup title after beating Real Madrid 5-2, including a sublime goal from young prodigy Lamine Yamal, on Sunday January 12 in Jeddah.
Kylian Mbappé quickly opened the scoring for Real (5th). But Barça stunned the Madrilenians by scoring five goals in 36 minutes through Lamine Yamal (22nd), Lewandowski (36th sp), Raphina (39th, 48th) and Baldé (45th+10). Shortly after Barcelona goalkeeper Szczesny was sent off for bringing down Mbappé, Rodrygo reduced the deficit with a free kick (60th) but the defending champions were unable to turn the match around.
This is the second time Barça has imposed its law on its eternal rival this season. In the LaLiga Clasico, the Catalans won (4-0) at the Santiago Bernabeu, on October 26.
Entangled in the Olmo affair, who was finally allowed to return to the group, Barça seemed distracted. But that was not the case. Hansi Flick’s instructions were applied to perfection, including when the Blaugrana played with a numerical inferiority.
