What a rout! Nigerians spearhead Black Bulls’ demolition of Enyimba
Chances of Nigeria’s Enyimba navigating into the knock-out stage of the CAF Confederation Cup have further diminished as they lost 3-0 on Sunday to the supposedly weakest team of Group D – Mozambique’s Black Bull.
What a rout! They have thus played three group matches without a win – losing two and drawing one at home.
Enyimba started the game on their back foot as they were a goal down after a quarter of an hour. Nigerian-born Rume Akporoh opened the scoring for the Mozambicans before another Nigerian-born Francis Ayuba Abubakar put the final nail in Enyimba’s coffin in the 64th minute, scoring the third goal after Fidel De Sousa’s 57th-minute goal.

CAF to take action in ASC Jaraaf vs USM Alger Confederation Cup post-match fracas
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has issued a statement that the post-match altercation in the Confederation Cup duel between ASC Jaraaf of Senegal and Algeria’s USM Alger on Sunday will be investigated.
It stated that the matter has been referred to the competent CAF bodies for further investigation.
Sports Village Square gathered from a Senegalese publication, Le Quotidien that after the match that ended goalless, there was a scuffle between Algerian and Senegalese supporters at the stands.
Later, the scuffle spread to the post-match conference where a CAF official prevented an Arabic-speaking journalist from asking questions in Arabic.
The USM coach, Nabil Maâloul objected. With his refusal to comply, the 61-year-old had his microphone muted.
